For both modification beginners and veterans! Recommended Collaboration Costumes and Alteration Tips 2
This article is the second part!
Please enjoy the contents of the tips together, as they are based on the assumption that you have also read the first part of the book.

The first part was a little costume modification technique, but the next level (3) is how to match non-compliant costumes!
Non-supported costume master level? Level 3
We will be wearing baggy denim for Grus from FUTURE ARCHIVE Vintage Style|BEAMS.
We will hide the GameShirt once as we will match the baggy denim first.
The shape keys of Komano-kun's Karada mesh should once be set to all 0s so that the body is visible.
Although the body shape is completely different from Komano's, let's first use a handy tool to match the outfits.
Modular Avatar
https://modular-avatar.nadena.dev/ja/
Modular Avatar, a standard tool for modification, has a function that roughly adjusts non-compliant costumes to match the avatar's bone positions. Therefore, the process is to use the tool to easily match the costume and then carefully match it while adding the process in Level 2.
After putting the baggy denim prefab directly into Komano's prefab, right-click on baggy denim and select “Setup Outfit” from the Modular Avatar section.
Select Armature.1 in baggy denim and this screen will appear. Expand “Reset position to original avatar” and activate the checkbox “Reset overall scale of costume to avatar”.
It is adjusted automatically, and the height of the legs and hips are roughly adjusted, but there is misalignment and lack of fit to the width of the hips, so it is adjusted in a similar way to level (2) in the first half of the article.
Select the baggy denim hip, and also select the Scale Tool on Scene. click and hold on the X axis and move it to adjust the width. It should be fine as long as you feel comfortable. If you have difficulty moving the X-axis with the mouse, you can enter a number.
Next, fix the misalignment. Select Hips, then Move Tool, then click and hold the blue arrow to move the avatar to the Y-axis position “-0.0564”.
Since the baggy denim thickness was slightly insufficient, the Z axis of Scale was increased to “1.04”.
Check the Low Leg area as well: the baggy denim hem is off to the front, and the baggy denim angle is narrow against Komano's legs.
Since the operation of changing the angle symmetrically is a bit difficult, a more convenient tool is added.
[Free] キセテネ for MA
https://booth.pm/ja/items/5057270
Some of you may be familiar with Kisetene itself. The main advantage is that the costume model updates will be updated by overwrite import without unpacking! Recommended.
After installing Kisetene for MA, the settings screen will appear by selecting from Tools. Drag and drop “baggy denim” to this screen, and you can easily adjust the length and angle of both arms and legs and torso of the clothes.
This time, we will adjust by “opening the legs” and “bringing the feet forward” from the lower body section。
This does not have to be done strictly either, as long as it looks good.
At this point, Komano-kun's underwear and lower body are sticking out of the costume, so we add another useful tool.
This function erases the mesh inside the red square. By changing the size and position of the red square, the mesh on the lower body is erased until it is just visible from the waist to the hem of the baggy denim, thus hiding the areas that cannot be adjusted! If you are concerned about the mesh disappearing in AAO Preview or when uploading an avatar, set the shape key to 100 in each item.
There is no part of the underwear to leave, so just hide the Trunks mesh itself.
[Free] Avatar Optimizer
https://booth.pm/ja/items/4885109
AvatarOptimizer, aka AAO, is a very versatile tool, but this time we will use the “Remove Mesh in Box” function. Select Komano's “Karada” mesh and click Add Component. Type “AAO” in the search field and select “Remove Mesh in Box” to bring up AAO components.
Avatars are often set with shrink shape keys to prevent costume interference, but the advantage of “Remove Mesh in Box” is that you can sensibly erase the mesh without the shape keys, which is very convenient! It is also recommended for those who modify VRoid bodies with unity.
Finally, adjust the GameShirt shape key and erase the mesh hidden under the pants with AAO.
It is completed in the style of “a GameShirt tucked in at the waist softly riding on baggy denim!
Even in costumes that do not support this, if the interfering areas are made invisible, the avatar will look natural, but often still need to be adjusted when the avatar moves. Although we have introduced an easy automatic adjustment method, there are times when it is more natural to adjust manually. Both the easy automatic and manual methods have their advantages and disadvantages, so it is recommended to use both depending on the model.
Many of Dot Esty's costumes are semi-compatible, so even if they are not compatible avatars, those who have mastered the first two parts will be able to wear them!
