Grand Prize
「PHILOSOPHIA」
文藝イシュタル
Award of Excellence
「SwingTopSet」
竹流
Judges' Comments
It is a casual item that can be worn anywhere. While the shading is basic toon shading, it is noteworthy that the wrinkled texture was well expressed by devising the topology. The jacket lining was also interesting in that the polygons were placed to fill the space between the inner lining and the jacket to show the pattern while also reducing the weight.
「cyberpunk kimono」
亜空間ゼウス
Judges' Comments
Based on a calm Japanese taste, this mode item also combines a cyberpunk feel with coloring and items such as harnesses and belts. While each element itself is simple, there is a cohesiveness to the design when everything is combined. The fact that it is carefully textured and retains a visual richness, while also balancing toon-like warmth, is also a good point.
「Classical Straw Hat」
Atelier Mirea
Judges' Comments
This item was created as an “accessory” category for MakeAvatar. The basic design is easy to match with various items, but the lovely lace is eye-catching. The topology is beautifully made and looks natural both up close and from a distance in VR.
Gugenka Prize
「Fairy Tail」
MKB
Judges' Comments
The colors are soft and the overall impression of cuteness is very nice, and the clothes fit the image of Gugenka's MakeAvatar. The ribbon on the back feels like a feather, and the sleeves and hem are fluffy and expansive, making it a fairy-tale-like garment, which is one of my favorite points.
Judges' Comments
As the name suggests, this item is based on the concept of philosophy, and was evaluated for its thoughtful attention to detail in how it was incorporated into MakeAvatar from a regular item for PCVR. We could feel the attention to detail in every part of the item, which must have taken a lot of thought, such as what to select and what to leave out from the unique group of parts that characterize this item, and how to express textiles within the shader constraints. I think this item is an answer to the question of how to reduce the weight of virtual apparel, rather than simply removing details. I would like many people to see this item worn in VR.
